LCBER: Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea

Trains Page Home Page Comments to: Dewi Williams About

The first two photos show cars on the single-track section at the [19] (old) Brompton Railway bridge,
which was the boundary between Rhos on Sea and Colwyn Bay.

I'd understood that conductors were not allowed to move along the running boards (to collect fares)
while the toastracks were in motion, except when the cars were on the private right-of-way.
But here is a conductor, on the running board, on a paved street!

Nearing the end of the run in Colwyn Bay. Notice the interlaced (gantlet, or gauntlet) track.

The end of the line! Open-top car no. 15 unloading and re-loading in Colwyn Bay.
